Wow, another great produce (of Apple's)

Apple did it again with the Mac OS control strip. It's very convenent to be able to switch screen size, colors, and tons of other things. The best part is the seemless intergration of a cd player into the control strip. Windows Media Player and even CDrun don't get anywhere close to this. That continus to confirm my liking of a company making the hardware and software (mainly the OS) together.

And they took it away in OS X. There is a third-party replacement. It's amazing how the little things can make the computing experience better. (or worse: 1 2 3 4)

They didn't quite take all of the Control Strip's features away—they just moved them.

For instance, you can still adjust monitor settings at the root level in OSX by checking the "Monitor Controls in Menu bar" box in the Display control panel.
